Before you do a table read

The eternal question for a writer is Will my manuscript work?

One way of doing this is to do a table read with actors. But can you do something simpler at an earlier stage?

I took the second draft of Lost and Found and imported it to a text to speech application on my phone. Next step was to exported it as an MP3 file. As the manuscript was more than 50,000 characters, I had to break it into two parts.

I then merged the two parts into LumaFusion video editing app and exported as one audio file. Uploaded the file to frame.io and can share with others, but also comment as usual in their app.

Another benefit is that I get a sanity check of the lenght of film. In this case, 74 pages of script gives 67 minutes of continuous speech.
