How many persons can you have on set?

The answer have always been dependent on restrictions. The budget limits how many persons you you can hire and the management of people is another limitation. Third, you need space for all people.

Normally a team manager have a team of 7-10 persons and the level above manages team managers. This means one team of 7-10 persons,  several teams with a total of 50-75 persons or a large production with more than 100 persons.

With the Corona virus, we have a new situation and new limitations. Currently in Sweden, we have recommendations to limit gatherings to less than 50 persons and in many other European countries the limit is only ten persons. The grim reality is that this limitation probably will continue until the end of the year.

The limitation on productions, and the script, will therefore be a very small cast and crew on set this year, and perhaps next year as budget limitations probably continues during the economic downturn.

With fewer persons on set, those there need to be able to do different roles and use other ways of working compared with before.

Welcome to a new brave world of filmproduction with very small crews.
